hat did you do in high school? I get asked that a lot and I usually have some pretty good accomplishments to talk about, but this girl takes the cake. She is a writer. She doesn’t just write to write, no sir. She has written a book called Teen Wisdom and Other Oxymorons. She is Public Relations Vice President of her school’s Associated Student Body, she runs track, does cheer and has done hundreds of hours of community service through faith-based organizations and National Charity League. She makes me tired just thinking about her. This girl has got it together. With all of these accomplishments, you might expect that she would be inclined to look down on people or make them feel less than they should, but this was the exact opposite. The whole time we were together, she was constantly lifting people’s spirits and making them feel loved.
Her nominator said it this way: She is beautiful both inside and out. She is kind, smart, active, outgoing, dependable and beautiful. She helps others. She is truly a beautiful girl!
Here is what Zoe had to say about who she is:
My best friends would describe me as generous, happy, fun and selfless. I will be attending Hillsdale college in Michigan in the fall. One of my biggest accomplishments is that I wrote a book, Teen Wisdom and Other Oxymorons. It is an accumulation of my journal writings. The profit from it goes to Operation Safehouse, a place for teens in crisis.
Dear Zoe, You are amazing. I am so blessed to get to know you and to capture and tell your story to the world. You are using your gifts to help others and that is what makes you beautiful. Good luck, girl!
