Martin Luther King High School in Riverside joined with me to help me find their most beautiful girls for a special King High School Beauty Revived campaign.  It was an honor to receive more than 50 nominations.  There sure are a lot of beautiful girls in Riverside!  These stories spoke about kindness and courage.  It was definitely hard to choose only four, but I did and the girls chosen are AH-MAZING!  For the next few days, I will be introducing the girls chosen.  I’m sure you will be amazed.

Meet Whitney.  Whitney was nominated for Beauty Revived because of her strength through her trials.  This is what one of her nominators had to say, “She’s a smart, hard working student and she has had a tough life, yet still seems to keep going.  She is the definition of hope.  She is my hero, she is my inspiration to keep going even when I want to give up.

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty  to me isn’t about the way you look it’s about personality. No matter what shape or size you are, you’re beauty is  based on your personality.
What is your favorite thing about yourself?
That I am helpful to others.
 Why do you think you were nominated?
I think I was nominated because I maintain strength everyday and stay strong even on my worst days.
What makes you beautiful? 
My personality. Im caring, I always have a positive outlook on things and I know even through the bad times good things will come out of it.
How do you help others feel more beautiful?
 I tell them and give them words of encouragement.
What are you involved in at school?
I’m involved in the avid program at king high.
 How would your best friends describe you?
Caring, always willing to help them in need, always the first person to go to when they need advice, I’m funny, goofy and addicted to music!
 What are you planning to do after high school?  Where will you go?  What will you study?
To go to college get my degree. Hopefully the university of San Diego. Psychology.
What is the funniest or most interesting thing that has happened to you in high school?
I was with my friends and we were walking at lunch and I almost tripped and dropped my lunch. Thankfully no one saw and we just laughed.
 What is your favorite candy?
Reese’s peanut buttercup
Dream job:
To be an author of a book.
Biggest Accomplishment so far in high school:
Being selected for their avid program.
Unusual talent that I have: I can sing.
